The University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus is the largest university in Colorado, consisting of two distinct yet connected campuses located in Denver. It was formed when UC Health Sciences Center and its academic extension campus merged in 2004.

UC Denver provides more than 100 academic programmes and degrees across its eight schools, such as medicine, dentistry, nursing, public health and pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. On its Anschutz campus alone there are six faculties dedicated to healthcare professions.

Admission to the University of Colorado School of Medicine, or CU SOM, is highly competitive for both traditional and osteopathic students alike; less than 3% of applicants are accepted into most top-tier American medical schools. As such, medical college admissions experts suggest beginning your application process as soon as possible.

Along with your application, UC SOM requires you to submit an interview request. Our interview process consists of both small group and traditional panel interviews, which evaluate interpersonal communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

The University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz medical campus requires applicants to submit their SAT and ACT scores as part of the admissions process. Both tests are essential elements in this step.

The University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Med Campus is an ideal choice for medical students who desire a vibrant urban setting and the advantages of living on-campus. Just minutes away from downtown Denver’s numerous restaurants, bars, shopping and attractions – as well as Elitch Gardens and Six Flags Denver theme parks – this campus provides plenty to do!
